You are the weakest link
Well here is an interesting site recently discovered on my
journeys across the www. Just like the real thing except you are the only real player competing against a team of cyber players.
You answer your own questions and control the bank then vote off the weakest link....which could be you!. So are you ready to play the
weakest link.
The meaning of pi
Now I hear that a team from Tokyo University have managed to come up with the value of pi to more than a trillion decimal places...although what help that will be in the GCSE exam is anybodies guess. Anyway if you really want some fun then then go to the Am I in pi site to find out where your date of birth first appears in the number. On the ball Just wanted to tell you about an article I discovered written by John Haigh. He poses the question "If your team scores first in a football match, how likely is it to win?" You can find his interesting and topical article titled On the ball by pressing here. |
Computer puzzles
A page of mathematical puzzles for you (and your students) to try out next time you are in the computer room. Not too much choice yet, but I shall endeavour to add to the collection so visit the Computer puzzles page and let me know what you think. Who wants to be a millionaire The site has recently been updated
and moved....but after a lot of searching I managed to find it again!! The site now features faster
response times and improved graphics so it really is a worthwhile site for you to visit. So, if you
fancy the prospect of being a cyber millionaire (the best I can offer unfortunately) then why not visit the
Who wants to be a millionaire site.
Favourite Joke
The numbers 0 and 8 were walking down the road when the 0 turned round to the 8 and said "Nice belt"....you'll find more like this on the Mathematical jokes and limericks pages.....and don't say you haven't been warned!! Reserved This space is reserved for you..........so if you have anything which might be included on this page, then please contact me. |

Page last updated March 2007 ps To ensure an appropriate ranking on various search engines, I am reminded to include the words "maths", "mathematics", "education" and "resources" somewhere on this page. pps To ensure an appropriate ranking on various search engines, I'll just include the words "maths", "mathematics", "education" and "resources" one more time. ppps Now I am told that I have to include the words ""maths", "mathematics", "education" and "resources" at least four times on the front page - so one more "maths", "mathematics", "education" and "resources" should just about do it..... |
