AS Guru Maths
This site is provided by the BBC and similar to the BBC Bitesize site offering information and support covering methods, pure and statistics. The content is very good and the graphics supportive...definitely a site to keep on your list of favourites.

Ask Dr. Math
This site, based in the USA, provides a question and answer service for mathematics students (and their teachers). The site also includes an interesting collection of Frequently Asked Questions including convincing responses to what is 0 to the power 0 and what is 0!

Buffon's needle problem
A site dedicated to Buffon's needle problem which involves dropping a needle on a lined sheet of paper and determining the probability of the needle crossing one of the lines on the page. The topic is supported by a commentary and a useful Java applet.

Graphics for the Calculus Classroom
An informative site containing a varied collection of graphical demonstrations for use when teaching calculus. These demonstrations include zooming in on a tangent line, the intersection of two cylinders and Archimedes calculation of pi.....

The Integrator
Sounds menacing and it truly is.....simply, you enter a function and the Integrator calculates the integral of your function. Mathematics exercises on integration will never be the same if you don't insist that students show their working!!!

Problem of the week
A problem of the week provided by a tutor at Bradley university for students. Most of these are accessible to A level students and should provide an extensive collection of puzzles for use in the A level classroom. Solutions are also provided should you need them!

Revision-notes.co.uk
Not the most visually exciting sites...indeed the front page looks more like that of a search engine. The content of this site is sufficient although rather limited. Worth a look if you prefer the formaility of layout and presentation.

S-Cool
A small and developing site offering AS and A2 notes on pure and statistics. No fancy grpahics but text is straightforward and readable. Some sections (eg formula sheets and revision tips) remain incomplete but the site has much potential and is certainly worth consideration.
